Historic Fort Wayne

The Historic Fort Wayne, located in the Delray area off of Livernois Avenue, has been ran by the Detroit Reaction Department since 2006 after the Detroit Historical Museum operated it for more than 50 years. Its operated now with help from the Friends of Fort Wayne, the Historic Fort Wayne Coalition, and the Detroit Historical Society. When you visit Fort Wayne, you can go to the Tuskegee Airmen Museum and learn a thing or two about those pioneering pilots. Theres an ancient burial ground there that you are able to visit. Throughout the year, they have continuous tours, reenactments, flea markets, and other performances and educational programs available at the Historic Fort Wayne.
