Charles H. Wright Museum Of African American History

The Charles H. Wright Museum is the globe's biggest institution for learning about the vast history of African Americans. They have programs available along with exhibitions and events that provide opportunities to learn about the legacy of African Americans in our country from their huge collections and research spanning back to America's origins. Established in 1965, they have over 35,000 artifacts within its 125,000 square foot spacious depository located within Detroit's Cultural Center. Their biggest attraction is the “And Still We Rise: Our Journey Through African American History and Culture”, which is the museum's 22,000 square foot inactive exhibit that brings in thousands and thousands of people each year.
