Ford Field

Upon leaving the Silverdome in Pontiac, Ford Field became the new home of the National Football League's Detroit Lions franchise in 2002 across the street from Comerica Park. Along with football games, Ford Field has played host to many other sporting events like like Super Bowl XL, The Frozen Four, and the NCAA Basketball Tournament, along with big music concerts like Eminem or Madonna. It cost over $430 million to build Ford Field when they transformed a 6-story Hudson warehouse that was in that location from the 1920s into the magnificent stadium we see there today. The venue is named after the Lions owner. Its a beautiful arena with stores and other activities inside for all ages during the events that are held there. Ford Field has become an icon of Detroits downtown area.
