Fox Theatre

Built in the 1920s, The Fox Theatre in Detroit was one of five theatre built at that time by film trailblazer William Fox. The building with designed by C. Howard Crane lending its style inside to a mix of Burmese, Chinese, Indian, and Persian decor. With is capacity of over 5,000 seats, Fox Theatre is one of the biggest of the film houses still around in the nation. Located directly downtown near the Grand Central Park District and across the street from Comerica Park, Fox Theatre is a landmark in Detroits vast performance history playing host to countless legendary artists of film, music, and stage. Fully renovated in 1988, the Fox Theatre is a beautiful venue inside and out with amazing sound system and plush seating. It gained some national fame recently has being featured in the Eminem Chrysler 200 commercial with the choir. If you get a chance, check out a show or two at the Fox and experience some Detroit history.
